They're even more awesome in person. I'm not often a fan of bodykits, but these old wideboy kits seem to have the styling right compared to the fiddlier looking ones that you see more often. I think you have to have the balls to go wide with a kit and pull in the reigns when it comes to having too many grooves and vents and stuff. Ostentatious, but not ridiculous and like, totally tubular. the owner has had this escort for the last 15 years or so and its gone through a lot of different colors/ wheels/ bodykit combo's etc i bet hes spent a fortune in general I'm not a fan of the escorts as the sharp lines and intakes don't flow with the generally round shapes of the standard car dimma R5s/ 205s on the other hand are just awesomly cool

I'd mainly had big power J cars and after spending a few years putting together a 600 bhp evo that was undrivable on the road i didnt really know what to get next, always fancied a sunbeam as they look awesome, nobody really knows what one is and they're rarer than an escort never really drove it since i bought it so its just sat in the garage but I'm collecting bits to turn it into a works replica

Further investigation will broaden your horizons. Look, here's fifteen pages of photos from that meet alone: click me.Obviously he's not going to post two or three hundred photos in the thread. Look here - www.cncpics.com/ - use the tabs at the top to see the archive. Literally thousands of detail shots and so forth. Also, maybe think about losing the misplaced sense of entitlement. You're not paying anything to look at these photos (hundreds and hundreds of new ones every month); he didn't have to share them on here for your perusal either. Is it really your place to criticise? Wind your neck in and lighten up. [/rant]cheers for that, don't really understand why your having a 'rant' though, I'm not a superstar on the internet, shame on me for not looking harder for more pictures

cars and coffee always looks the same o_0 You could not be more wrong, my friend. It's always diverse and always very different. What's with the random negativity...? I'm not knocking the variety and wonderment of the cars at all but it just seems to be the same pictures taken from afar of cars leaving or parked up. i want to see more detail and stuff on the cars, its a bit of a tease just showing 1 picture

Is it an optical illusion that the rear end looks shorter than normal, or is it just cut off? They've been 'bob tailed' which is quite common with extreme trials vehicles like those as it gives a much better departure angle. its a tray back innit? bob tails are cut n shuts of the original beds/ shells

its not at all considering its a sunbeam, bit of welding needed on a chassis leg
main reason i wanted to strip the car totally was to basically make the best possible shell i can instead of just a general tidy up then having to do the same again in a few years
after doing a bit of research, dipping sounds really harsh, especially on a sunbeam shell which are renowned for being made of cheese. i think i will go with the sander on the big areas and blasting in the fiddly bits. the shell will be seam welded once its stripped so itll be a good sized job and I'm sure will make quite a mess
