Got the wheels refurbed, glad I went for something a bit different colorwise. I was thinking to get the background of the writing done in the same color as the car but I prefer just the gun metal Next up is a service and sump gasket replacement

Get on the ASOC group on facebook, spares always about on there and ebay although they are never cheap. Steelpanels.co.uk also do all the replacement panels you will ever need

Due to the little support you have at each outer end and the length and weight of the RSJ I don't think you could get away with having no central support without spending serious money

Sun came out for a change so decided to see how the Ronal's sat. Main reason for the change is to gain ground clearance, a reminder of how low it was came when I couldnt get the thing jacked up without driving onto a pile of planks. They look decent and clearance is much improved, need to sort out a refurb and new tyres in the near future, service planned for this weekend.

Been doing a few bits and pieces on the Caddy inbetween work, children and decorating. Nothing exciting, turret covers, new dipstick and seal, bonnet rubbers and licence plate holder. I also picked up a set of Ronal Turbos, they need a refurb and tyres but theres no rush and I havent decided a color. As they're 15''s they should fill the arches alot better than the current 13'' ATS

Is it not allowed to drive on grass? Once it's off the dry hump it will sink 6 inches into the sodden topsoil, then I'd have to go underneath and throw it into 4WD where it would then be able to get out the field but then I'd need to get it back in again. I'd rather wait. Gotcha. Be a laugh though!

I worked in Brazil for a year before I came back to the UK a middle of last year, there's a variety of retro VW's seen on a daily basis. These, beetles, buses, caddy's, ghia's etc all in relatively good condition body wise and sell for peanuts in comparison to what they'd achieve here.
Had to laugh at the description of the car coming from a dry country, I've never seen rain as hard or heavy as that in Brazil.

Done a few bits on the caddy, main thing being a chrome bumper, just need to get a black rub strip and reg bracket. Sorted out the missing steering surround plastics, gti gearknob to replace the ally one, under bonnet bits and pieces etc etc. I'll have to get some more pics at some point

It takes all sorts I guess but I just wouldn't trust a £200 piece of curse word to hold up in the event of a high speed crash, I value my life a bit more than that.

Where did you get the small bumper from? Did you change the original bumper bracket?
