bit of a delayed build thread this but better late than never.
i picked this 120y up from ebay in october as a easy daily driver project. having owned plenty of classic toyotas it wasnt a big step away buying a datsun.
its a 35k mile car that has spent the last 10 years in a garage but wasnt great condition when locked away. it has a dent in every panel and had both sills badly replaced. the engine runs well after a carb clean and rebuild and other than a few bits to sort, the running gear is all good to go.
the plan was~ patch the rust, slam, add wheels and use. . . after the first days work it became obvious it would need some more welding than expected, cutting into the holed sill revealed the old very rotten sill still inside and a crunchy mess that should be the inner sill. anyway, after sourcing replacment panels for both sides and lots of welding its starting to get there. everyone likes pics~
