Hi guys and girls,
Hope you don’t mind a new thread. Adrian Flux Insurance now offer a new extra benefit which is available to add to a policy called FlexDrive. In short, if you have the ‘Driving other cars’ extension on your policy, which will only give you cover against third party risks, this ‘top-up’ policy will increase the cover to a comprehensive level giving up to £20,000 worth of cover for the car you are driving.
I'm not trying to give it the hard sell here - I just thought with it being unique as far as I know in the market, it was worth talking about.
It does have some restrictions; you must already have the driving other cars third party only benefit on your policy (this doesn't buy you the extension), the car must be insured, not belong to you, or be registered at your address. It can only be added to an Adrian Flux insurance policy.
The policy is perfect for someone who has friends or relatives who are ‘in to’ their cars like you and I. Using someone else’s car with just third party cover is always a bit awkward, especially if something happens!
It won’t suit everyone I know, but for people like you and I who love their cars, it could be very handy. At £24.99 a year it’s very reasonably priced.
Cheers, Dan.

This sounds like a good addition, still won't cover me driving my dad's 6 month old E63 though

Thanks for the offer.... But the threats of legal action by yourselves over a policy I didn't want mean I will never use your services again, customer service counts in my opinion

So could I insure my cheap daily and pay £24.99 a year to drive my dads M3 fully comp? ? What if my dads M3 is insured on his motor traders policy, can I still drive it fully comp under the £24.99 add on???

slightly irrelevant if you refuse to cover any classic car with a driving other vehicles extension, as you did to me. it was more or less the sole reason i went elsewhere.

Not much point in taking extension to fully comp, you will not fight or pay out for a accident? Useless curse word DAN@ADRIAN FLUX.

They gave me a brand new Merc C-Class as a hire car when my 20 year old Audi got written off, which was nice!
But I've potentially got to go to court over the costs now! Lol

If Matt alwright investigated this shower of curse word, it would make great viewing on rogue traders, I followed up my problems with them and uncovered lots of unhappy people in the classic community, as said I will never go near them again, be warned please

I'm another unhappy ex Flux customer.
Kind of did it for me when they cancelled a policy I had for not returning a form that they never issued me with in the first place. Then, chased me with debt collection agency for the cancellation fee which was more than the annual fee!
So thanks, but no thanks

When you think how many people I,Flux insure in a year your bound to half a few unhappy costumers. Same when you have a car with a known fault you only get to hear of the bad things even through there probably a lot more cars on the road that haven't had that fault. As they say bad new travels fast.
I'm not insured or have anything to do with them btw.

I love how they have no idea of the business they represent, you start quoting actual facts to them and they come back with its not like that but as if by magic they stop sending you nasty debt letters.
I was assured they had improved yet I found out otherwise to my own dismay. I am one of those that hopes the building burns down and there insurance doesn't pay out.

My two penneth worth. I've used Adrian Flux on and off for the last 15 years or so, and NEVER had an issue at all. Pretty much the only insurance company who cover all my modifications and still offer a competitive premium. My brother has had a similar experience to me as well, I believe. Keep up the good work.
