Is the point Dan that we should get good service , fair price and fair charges in the first place ?
What about the thousands of other customers who will never ever get to talk to someone like you via a Pm ?

I agree with you mate, at least on here we have made a statement not to use them, and they've listened a bit,,,I doubt I will use them again unless I hear some good news about them in the future

Well I have to say a thank you to Dan, a member of AF called me today, and was courteous and apologised on behalf of the company, and a full refund is being given to me,this came about after Dan replied to my pm.....hope others get some kind of recompense perhaps this whole thread will help to build a few bridges within our community, I guess AF have got around the table and Decided do the decent thing, thanks for your help with this Dan, Devil's Advocaat - Bet that wouldn't have happened without all the other negative PR that had occured in this thread.

Didn't know he/she/it favoured custard like cocktails? I imagined an absinthe drinker...

Didn't know he/she/it favoured custard like cocktails? I imagined an absinthe drinker... It's where the 'snowballs chance in hell' saying comes from. Nothing to do with the effect of the temperature in said vacinity on objects made of frozen water, but how short a time a advocaat based cocktail lasts due to how partial he/she/it is to 'em......

This. The problem with touting for business on forums is that people who have had bad experiences are always quick to shout about it. It's human nature. Those who have had decent experiences often don't comment, giving the impression that 98% of customers are dissatisfied, which is obviously hugely incorrect. I'm going to stick my neck on the line and suggest that the negatives would be highlighted by disgruntled customers no matter who you are and what your company sells. double edged sword, really.

giving the impression that 98% of customers are dissatisfied, or that 100% of ex customers are dissatisfied.

I'm with Flux and have been for over ten years, they've been good to me. Admittedly they do try it on come renewal time (but so does every company) so ten minutes on the phone will usually knock £100 off the policy. They have always insured a heavily modified vehicle for about 10% cheaper than I can get insured as standard for on any comparison site, and somehow I've had "Driving Other Vehicles" cover on my limited mileage camper van policy for the last 3 years too which seems crackers to me but it's dead handy. I've also never once had to pay an admin fee to add modifications or change the vehicle mid-policy. Maybe I've just always struck lucky?

They can't be doing too bad as a business as they sponsored the British Speedway GP last weekend (Which I must say was fantastic!) That cannot be cheap so they must be getting it right in some areas. Maybe its the specialist team that needs looking at?
I personally havn't used them for about 5 yrs as A Plan beat them on my Granada but I will try them again no doubt when my P100 is finally finished and the current insurance is over.

I've stuck up for Flux but have now had enough. My renewal is through, up again on last year even though I've never had a claim in 20+ years of driving, clean licence, etc etc... I know the game. Call and complain, they match last year's price. We do this every year. But I've been on hold for 5 minutes listening to an advert and I've had enough. I'm taking my business elsewhere. I can't be arsed with this. Hi TDK, Sorry about this - You can always drop me a DM if you like? I'm more than happy to check this out and us call you rather than you having to hold. Kind regards Dan. Time is money, Dan. I've gone with Bridle who also insure my Porsche. No time on hold, UK call centre, price c.20% lower than Adrian Flux quoted me. While I appreciate that car insurance is a competitive business remember that your customer's time is also their money. I think I had been with you for about 10 years.

Just as I thought I was rid of them they called the house and layed pressure on my dad to pay an outstanding balance of cancelation fees........ Yup thats right they told him if he didn't pay the debt then he was liable and the would go for legal action against his home. Classy Flux real classy.
Hope you fuckers catch AIDS!

Hi, First of all I apologise for the inconvenience and I appreciate you making me aware of this - I'm certainly keen to check what has happened here - Could you please PM me your details so I can investigate this? I won't be offering to help however if the way you have spoken continues via PM. Kind regards, Dan.

This whole conducting business on a forum via PM's is pathetic, Flux should be conducting their business properly in the first place rather than people having to chase up some kind of problem solver on a 3rd party forum. Loads of expensive phone calls, loads of letters and then people still have to spend valuable free time writing PM's? It's not on!
We will never use this company ever again and in my opinion anyone who uses them now is effectively driving round with no insurance because if the crunch time comes (and I hope it doesn't for anyone on here) you find out how worthless it is.

Hi, Unfortunately we simply cannot discuss an individuals policy via a public forum for obvious reasons, sensitive information needs to be kept private. That is the last I will say on the matter as it is out of our hands. Regards, Dan.

'Dan' is getting a massive shoeing because of the company who merely employs him. I'm pretty sure that he would not have been aware of the multitude of issues brought up here anymore than my daughter would when 'situations' are escalated over and above her job role and remit. She works for Flux. I'm not banging the gong for them, I took my money elsewhere when they quoted me over £100 more for less than another insurer, that's business, right? Thing is, for every one here who has had bad service there are whole reems of customers who, on a daily basis, duck and dive, fiddle and lie to their insurer then whinge like b*****ds when they are found out and threaten all sorts. My girl has been spoken to like s*it, threatened and, well, everything you can think of. For every good, honest customer there is a massive cockwand, its life. Just keep the bile off of 'Dan' he is just an employee just like most of us are. I take my fair share of stick for the way my employer operates at times but its not MY bloody fault any more than its 'Dan' who sends the heavies around. He could have sodded off never to return but he has stepped forwards, fair play. RR may be a big fish and the thoughts of its patrons may well be important to Flux but Flux has a client base and insurance portfolio that is way bigger and more diverse than here or probably anywhwere else. Stop shooting the messenger.
