Fair play! Respect Bit of a shame this thread is already a clear page longer than the "Thanks" thread Every year it seems people can't wait to whip themselves into a froth of righteous indignation. I don't wish to seem rude, but really guys? If you can't think ahead enough to take a bin liner with you when camping, maybe you oughtn't be out on your own anyway? And if people don't give enough of a four-X to throw their rubbish in a bin, do you really imagine they give one that there's a thread whining about them not doing it? Here, have a photo of one of the things that made me laugh at the Gathering. Rusty flange? Yeah, I got trench foot as well Sorry but that does not make sense . Your saying people are enjoying getting uppity , then you are complaining as well ? As proved , people have pointed out silly behaviour that shouldnt happen , and someone has had a ticking off and apologised . Hopefully the thread has served a purpose of trying to make future gatherings a much better event for all .

No I'm not Hopefully the thread has served a purpose of trying to make future gatherings a much better event for all . Good luck with that. It hasn't worked all the previous years, but maybe this will be the one?

Your post is a myriad of contradictions thats all . You seem to be moaning about people moaning , then moaning about the trouble there - it does not make coherent sense .
Heres to next year anyway .

I should apologise myself for bellowing extremely coarse language at whomever was revving up their car before 8am on the Sunday. I had just stuck my head out the tent and didn't have my specs on yet so couldn't say who it was though. *n That might have been me, I left for the showground at 7:40, so I'm sorry if I woke anybody up

The litter is inexcusable. Unfortunately there's always that element who have little respect for others.
The 'Bomb' is somewhat bewildering to hear about.
Cockish driving is also uncalled for, but it seems that at least one culprit has held their hands up, bowed their head in shame and acknowledged it, so that is something positive!

#MX5gathering2015 I can't comment on any driving as I didn't see it but if anyone wants to play I spy mx5s ... I found about 7 (+3 slightly to the left & out of shot) i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh36/Nomad_Geordie/IMG_0020_zpspctiog4f.jpgPerhaps next year have a skip sitting in the middle area for a bit more ease?? This - or one on the way out - would get my vote (and it's easier for us folk parked at the far end just wanting to go home after getting caught in the monsoon). It took me a few attempts to get the Hunter thru' the mud to the bins & dump the rubbish on the way out. We often used to go to Leeds festival, we stopped going when the kiddies started throwing gas cylinders on the bonfires around the campsite on the last night. I arrived before 4pm on Friday and just got a bling catalog, they hadn't started giving out binbags when I asked later on Fri eve. No excuse for : revving the nutz off the motor, at any time bangin' tunes (apart from the type I like) at any time shouting rude words around the campsite (^ ) where sensitive folk like me might hear them. having a drunken shouting match with your mate about who has the best satnav - ringside at the end of the tat auction when KFW was loosing his voice Overall a great weekend, apart from a few issues that should never have happened...

Re:skip placement, We're kind of at the mercy of where the skip lorries can drop them (they are hard to pick up and move ). That having been said there is hard standing-ish at the entrance we used this year (which is why we used it!) so it should be possible to drop one there and the rest by the toilets. We try and improve the show year on year and this is one of our take aways this year for sure.

Yep, the broken tarmac at the entrance was very helpful getting the van bump started! I may have caused a few grass tracks trying to bump start it using gravity from the top of the camping field, so sorry about that! It appears that sodden grass isn't great for traction! Hotwire, I think if you drove a skip lorry around people would still fail to clean up after themselves And I look forward to the improvements because in my mind it's hard to improve on perfection!!

Regrading any grass tracks in the site, I do believe the worst were not caused by any RR member, but the poo noo truck. It got very stuck and even a weekends worth of human waste over the rear axle wasn't helping, so he had to be enthusiastically pulled out of the sticky brown stuff by a pick up of some sort. Nobody fancied pushing. It was quite a spectacle

I'd like to thank jdmclare for coming on here and apologising. There have been MANY times where heat of the moment driving has been indulged in by me at the gathering, but you just have to look at the bigger picture - if we lose the show because a burnout, donut or skid goes wrong then we've lost it just remember, don't drive like a dick (And just fyi, a moment of madness bit of driving resulted in me very nearly seriously hurting a good mate this weekend, so I am just as guilty)

Almost on the road: b11 sunny breadvan, e36 tds, 325i skidcar,
nearly there: ford f250 tathauler, suzuki alto, u11 bluey
not for a while: ford pop, 32 rails,
not in this lifetime: ruby, '29 hillman
''unfortanatly I'm quite old and scruffy and in need of some loving. my drive shaft needs a new boot....''

the security on the gate failed to give bin bags to anyone arriving before saturday morning... When we arrived at 5pm on Friday, all of our welcome bags had bin bags in. Mine had two, in fact. I think there was some logistical problems with the '1 bin bag per welcome pack' theory.

Same here, think between us we filled 3 with our rubbish and another 3 with other peoples.
Still not beyond human capability to put things (that aren't on fire) into a skip, even if they aren't in a bin bag.

I was one of the chaps that had a bit of a go at you when you came in. I'm afraid your antics were ill timed - we all blew a fuse because people had been hooning up and down the lane up all day up to that point. I'm afraid you bore the brunt of all that! Again, thanks for coming on and apologising. I hope you come again as you clearly enjoy the gathering as much as the rest of us. See, even my best mates do stupid sh!te: (And just fyi, a moment of madness bit of driving resulted in me very nearly seriously hurting a good mate this weekend, so I am just as guilty) My ar$e feels much better now thanks dude. Don't sweat it
