I've had a proper look at the damage and it needs offside head light and indicator, rad and top support bar, top cover, bonnet and grills.
2.8 190bhp straight 6 engine and 5 speed manual box would be great in a classic

The wheels are in good nick. Slight kerb rash on the very edges on a couple. Tyres have loads of life but they are budgets, 245/40/17 on the rear and 225/45/17 on the front. A set in similar condition but knackered tyres went for £225 on eBay recently so I'll say £250

It has 17" alloys imageshack.us/photo/my-images/443/bmwwheel068.jpg/Those are the wheels. Let me know if you need anything or if you're quick the whole car. Is it anodised? If so you can clean if off with caustic soda, just don't leave it too long or it'll eat the ally

Dez / Adam Was this MIG or TIG welding for the tanks ? ? Tig, most of the tanks we had to weld up where I worked were ally but even if they were steel I'd of tig'd them

I've welded loads of petrol tanks, always just washed them out with truck wash and got on with it. Never welded while it was full of water or anything like that, never had one explode. Only other advice I have is to get some dye penetrant to test it with after, saves having to do it all over again if it leaks

Don't bother with a scratch start set, its hard enough to learn as it is. Tig is great but won't replace mig, horses for courses. If I were you get good at steel before you worry about ali

2001 Hyundai Coupe 2.0 SE in Silver with MOT until April. Runs and drives well but needs a rear wheel bearing replacing. Brand new battery, cam belt about 5k ago. Have some service history
Body has a few marks, one rear quarter has been pushed in a bit and one rear wing has been painted and it quite matt.
Never failed to start on me and does an 80mile round trip every day without missing a beat only selling as I have another baby on the way and need 4 doors, 103k on the clock
I'll sort some pics asap
£350 or offers, car is in Sandhurst Berks

Main thing to remember is DC tig welders will weld steel and AC will weld ali.
You can't use your mig gas for tig, you have to use pure argon.
It takes a lot of pratice to get it right but its not as hard as some say

Hi, Until last year I restored old race cars, 250 SWB Ferrari's, DB4 GT's and Cobra's were everyday stuff where I worked. Then Houses, babies and marriage cost too much and I've got a job in an office that pays much better. Problem is I'm missing the old car factor in my life. I still haven't got enough cash to have a second car to play with and 40+ mile commute each way and a near zero bank balance rules out a car change. I need inspiration to make the most of what I already have which is my wife's old Coupe, she now has my BMW as the baby seat doesn't fit the Coupe. So if you have a pic of a good looking Hyundai Coupe, its the facelift one, post it up Many thanks

Why aren't fuel senders in where the rheostat part is contained within the fuel tank an explosion waiting to happen? I know fuel liquid isn't flammable as such, but about what when you got an emptyish tank full of vapour with some cheapo sender unit possibly sparking away as the float moves up and down??? There is no real current running through a fuel sender, its just sensing resistance to earth so it will never spark or get hot

I've got an ESAB OrigoMag and can't fault it, also used to use a Kemppi which was very very good. If you've got £600 don't get a DIY machine like a Sealy or SIP. Don't think you'll go wrong with ESAB, Kemppi, Miller or Murex
