As for losing it why don't you photocopy your licence before you send it off and send it by registered post. As long you have the proof of it being tracked, they cant deny it can they. Yes they can and probably will deny it. ALWAYS get a duplicate license (not a photocopy) before sending your original to the DVLA, they cannot be trusted. To quote a recent letter from the almighty DVLA, "proof of postage is not proof of reciept". Unsuprisngly this only works for them and not the "customer". The problem is that they operate above the law and they are very much aware of this, in other words they have got you by the short and curlies and they know there is nothing you can do about it. I recently served a 12 month driving ban then duly re-applied for my license, I then faced another 11 months of monumental incompetence, laziness, dishonesty and downright stupidity before I was allowed back on the roads. I probably spent the equivalent of a years worth of motoring in phone calls alone, sometimes they even bothered to answer! I sincerely hope that every single doovla bod who dealt with me suffers a similar fate at least once in their lives.

you could always bolt two 3 litre essex lumps together? That's exactly what I thought when I saw it. The website says a lot about torque but nothing at all about weight, looks like a big lump of iron to me. How many gallons to the mile?

I used Wilkinsons own brand colour restorer (about 1/3rd the price of T-cut) And it's about 1/3rd the quality of T-Cut and that's saying something cos T-Cut is total goose merde. Faracla G3 and G10 are the only cutting products I will use nowadays. They work wonders every time! I was polishing a £300 car with 165,000 miles on it, the point I was trying to make is; you don't need to spend loads of cash on the latest snake-oil, any cleaning product will produce results but you have to mix it with a magic ingredient which you wont find in halfords, elbow grease.

I used Wilkinsons own brand colour restorer (about 1/3rd the price of T-cut) on my seriously faded, white Toyota Carina and it definitely made a lasting difference. Unfortunately it's now a nice shiny write-off.

I reckon you could solder the broken bit back on. Much lower temp than welding and fuel-proof too.

I have very fond memories of these old Bluebirds, I was a taxi driver from 1993 to 1996 and I covered at least 100,000 miles in one of these. It was a 2.0 diesel and the most reliable car in the world. (and almost the slowest).

Um, the original ones were spaceframed as well! Sorry for nitpicking but The American one isn't spaceframed, it's just a tubular chassis. www.georgecushing.net/Spaceframe.htmlAwesome though, even with the yank V8.

I was asking my Mum to buy me that Mag right from the first Issue back in 79 when I was just 7 Same here. And I bought it up until the early 90,s when it started to loose its appeal as a Quality Mag Same here. A little while ago I read on here of its demise but I wondered what date the very last issue was? Same here.
